Welcome to my bookish home! For those of you who are new, extra hugs! Anyway, I recently received a book entitled Mom’s Perfect Boyfriend by Crystal Hemmingway. It is a hilarious comedy about a young woman who is sick of her mother’s overbearing ways and the fact that she’s allowed herself to be guilt-tripped and bullied to the point where her life is a complete mess. Her mother doesn’t understand her and doesn’t try to. How is Crystal to get anything done when her mother acts like she is her personal assistant (unpaid, of course)?
Well, I could tell you all about this book or you can just check out my review here! I will say that this book was definitely deserving of the many stars I gave it, however. It was funny, I loved the way the author chose to format the narrative and it was a very refreshing read. Anyway, I truly enjoyed the novel and I want to share that enjoyment with my bookish family. I have been given two copies by the publisher and I am going to give them away. The giveaway will end next Monday at 6PM Eastern which means you have a week to enter!
